Meet the Founders

Joshua Martin served six years in the United States Navy as a Hospital Corpsman assigned to the Marine Corps, where he worked closely alongside Marines and gained firsthand experience with the physical and emotional demands of military service. During his service, Joshua was deployed to Afghanistan twice, experiences that would have a lasting impact on his life.

Like many service members, Joshua returned home carrying more than he initially realized. He struggled with PTSD and eventually made the decision to seek help, entering a six-month treatment program focused on healing and recovery. That experience became a turning point in his life and gave him a deeply personal understanding of how difficult it can be for veterans and first responders to acknowledge when they are struggling and ask for support.

Joshua went on to pursue extensive education and training in behavioral health. He holds three master’s degrees and is a CADC II, bringing both professional knowledge and lived experience to his work with individuals facing PTSD, trauma, addiction, and the challenges that can accompany high-stress service careers.

Today, Joshua works alongside his wife, Kimberly Lou, supporting first responders, veterans, and their families. Together, they are committed to creating a place where those who have spent their lives serving others can feel understood, supported, and safe enough to ask for help.

Joshua’s approach is grounded not only in education and professional training, but also in lived experience. He understands the culture of service, the instinct to push through pain, and the courage it can take to finally say, “I need help.”

Outside of his professional work, Joshua enjoys intense physical training, traveling, and spending quality time with Kimberly Lou, their daughters, family, and friends.
