Mama Gail Martin - Board of Directors

Gail Martin has spent her life caring for people. She focused on those who needed someone to believe in them. This was most true when they struggled to believe in themselves.

Married for 50 years and the mother of four sons, Josh, Mario, MC, and Caleb, Gail knows the demands on first responders. She also knows the impact on their families. Three of her sons are first responders, while Caleb works as an Equine Specialist.

For 26 years, Gail worked with teens at Community Day Continuation High School. She supported young people who were struggling, in crisis, or facing hard situations. Although her official role was as an ISP teacher, anyone who knew Gail knew she was much more than her title.

Her work never stopped at the classroom door.

Gail opened her heart and her home to young people who needed stability, guidance, and a second chance. She became a foster parent to three children. Over the years, she welcomed students into her home when they needed extra support. She didn’t simply teach them. She helped them rebuild their lives, see their worth, and find a path to become healthy, active members of their communities.

That same heart is at the center of her work today.

At Guiding With Care, Gail is the glue that holds our organization together. She brings decades of experience working with families, adolescents, first responders, and people in crisis. Her greatest qualification may not fit a degree or job title. She has spent a lifetime showing up for people.

Gail represents what Guiding With Care is built on: compassion, family, accountability, and second chances. With the right support, people can find their way forward.
